Belle Belimba Mask

Origin: tribe unknown, Congo
Composition: wood, kaolin pigment stain

At the time of this writing, only the Congolese language descriptive term of the mask has been identified, but not the tribe or more detail. It is known to be from the Congo, as we brought it there in 2001. A fine mask, likely representing a spirit or a type of teaching tool for initiation. Custom mounted, carved from a single piece of wood. We will work with the buyer to get more information on the mask.
